In memory of Brian Dunham
Dear friends and supporters of The Marc Bolan School of Music and Film.
It is with great sadness that we have to tell you that our dearest friend and charity colleague, Brian Dunham, has died after a short illness. Brian joined us in 2014, helping found our Charity and initiating many actions with very beneficial results for our students in Sierra Leone. Immediately on joining our Charity committee he set about organising events.
He played a central role in organising our official opening ceremony, itself set in beautiful surroundings reflecting the class and ambition of Gloria’s vision; he liaised with partners and friends around the UK to make sure our shipment of computers, screens, tables and chairs from the UK for the school all got there safely.
Brian was instrumental in producing partnerships with other charities which resulted in our students being able to produce their own documentary videos which have had a real impact on many levels of society in Sierra Leone.
He chaired and supported many meetings for our Charity, both online and in different parts of the UK. He cared very deeply that Gloria and Rolan’s work with the children should succeed in bringing about fulfilment and success. Brian’s commitment never failed until the last; his energy was, at the very least, impressive; his attention to the detail of organising events and celebration of feeder projects was inspiring.
His laughter was full on, and his ability to draw in those around him through his sheer enthusiasm for our common goal was a pleasure to witness. We shall miss him greatly, and we mourn his passing.
Gloria Jones, Rolan Feld and Jed Dmochowski

Brian was a force of nature .. a man who got things done .. a man whose humour was always evident,… a great guy he will be missed very much by both friends and family and also his work colleagues …I know i shall
